Life with DLD | A Teen’s Perspective

Have you ever wondered what it’s like to have DLD? Our special guest for this episode is 15 year old Parker, a talented photographer (PHL Photos) from Brisbane, Australia.

Over this short 15-minute podcast Parker will share his insights into living a proactive life with DLD, how educators can best support people with DLD in the classroom, and how families should talk with their children about DLD.

Thank you Parker for sharing your experiences with us. We can’t wait to see what you do next!

Good to hear Parker is a positive youngster and takes DLD in his stride.! My daughter (16) feels different, feels lonely, feels demotivated with the DLD. She has trouble making friends and school academic work is hard. SL therapist was not very helpful. I would love to find a therapist here in NZ where we live who really knows about DLD and the impact on mental health. And teenagers who have it and can support each other.
